Recent heavy rains have caused flooding and landslides in El Salvador, impacting several areas across the country. The most affected area was Aldea San Antonio, Santa Ana, where rescue workers assisted motorists stranded by floodwaters.
Minor flooding was also reported in Zona Rosa, San Salvador, and along Bulevar del Ejército in Soyapango, as well as in the Paseo El Carmen area of Santa Tecla. Fallen trees blocked roads in multiple locations, including Avenida Mercedes and Calle Los Eucaliptos in San Salvador.
The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN) reported thunderstorms and wind gusts of up to 30 kilometers per hour in several departments. The agency forecasts continued rainfall, particularly in the volcanic mountain range and northern regions, with potential extension to the coast.
