Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

The CMA CGM Group has partnered with the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3), co-organized by France and Costa Rica, scheduled to be held in Nice from June 9-13, 2025. This partnership aims to accelerate ocean protection by mobilizing various stakeholders, including states, businesses, and NGOs.

Key priorities include ratifying the BBNJ treaty, combating overfishing, protecting 30% of oceans by 2030, and decarbonizing maritime transport. As a global partner, CMA CGM will share its expertise at UNOC-3, contributing to discussions on scientific knowledge and the blue economy.

CMA CGM is committed to environmental preservation, investing in LNG-powered fleets and sustainable marine fuels, aiming for Net Zero Carbon by 2050. The group supports biodiversity through initiatives like Biohuts in ports and reforestation projects. It will actively participate in the "maritime decarbonization" pavilion, showcasing projects on net zero and biodiversity preservation.
