Arví Park continues to be an important ecological corridor in the Aburrá Valley, Colombia. The park is a sanctuary for both endemic and migratory species. International Biological Diversity Day, celebrated on May 22, 2025, highlights the park's commitment to preserving its natural resources.

Approximately 40% of the species found in Arví Park are native to the high-Andean ecosystems. The park boasts diverse flora, including iconic species like the amarrabollo (Meriania nobilis) and a wide variety of epiphytes.

Within the park, visitors can discover nineteen different bromeliad species, including the tillandsia plateada, and 14 species of anthuriums. Notably, the black anthurium (Anthurium caramentae), a vulnerable endemic species, requires more than five months for a single flower to reach maturity. The orchid population is also diverse, with around 140 species, mainly small or miniature varieties.
