Edited by: Anulyazolotko Anulyazolotko

As part of the "Greening Međimurje" project, 72 trees were planted in Kotoriba on April 16, 2025. This initiative aims to promote ecological awareness and enhance the beauty of local spaces.

The trees were planted in front of the Jože Horvat Elementary School and the Kotoriba kindergarten. ČAKOM-Čakovec carried out the work, contributing to the preservation of the natural environment. The project has received strong support from local institutions and residents, highlighting the importance of environmentally responsible approaches in urban planning.

The planted trees include 17 Acer platanoides (Norway maple), 19 Acer campestre (field maple), 30 Populus nigra (black poplar), and 6 Picea abies (Norway spruce). This initiative seeks to encourage community participation in environmental conservation and create a friendly and healthy environment for all citizens.
