Falaise, France Plants New Urban Micro-Forest to Combat Climate Change

03:23, 03 March

Edited by: Anulyazolotko Anulyazolotko

In Falaise, France, the association Bossy-Cévert has planted a new urban micro-forest spanning approximately 4,500 m2 near the Voie panoramique. This initiative aims to combat greenhouse gases by planting 2 billion trees and shrubs by 2050. Volunteers planted 2,700 plants of ten different species, including charm, buckthorn, hazel, and wild rose. The project envisions four micro-forest areas with paths and a central clearing, creating a green space for residents to enjoy. The goal is to reconnect people with the environment and biodiversity, providing a refreshing space to prepare for climate change. The project was made possible with the support of local businesses.
