Injured Hedgehog Rescued by Rspca After Being Spotted Limping

Edited by: Olga Samsonova

The RSPCA's Mallydams Wood center in Fairlight helped a hedgehog. A local animal lover noticed the hedgehog limping badly. The center's spokesperson shared details about the rescue.

The hedgehog was spotted thanks to garden cameras. The observer noticed the limp and lack of eating/drinking. The hedgehog was brought in for immediate care.

Vets provided pain relief and fluid therapy. A broken toe was discovered under sedation. The hedgehog is expected to recover quickly and return home.

Mallydams Wood is a 55-acre nature reserve gifted to the RSPCA in 1961. The center includes a fully equipped hospital room. It has treated many animals, including seals and foxes.
