Furthermore, the taxation methodology for cryptocurrency transactions has been revised to focus on net gains rather than the previous 100% tax on each transaction, fostering a more favorable environment for the digital asset sector.
Mayor Jorge Macri articulated his vision for Buenos Aires to be a global leader in crypto, stating, "We already have the human capital, and now we are building the tools by reducing bureaucracy to make taxpayer compliance easier and to support the arrival of new companies setting up here."
