The music industry is evolving with the emergence of TaTa, an artificial intelligence (AI) singer. Producer Timbaland, celebrated for his work with artists like Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, announced TaTa's debut on June 9th.

TaTa is a collaboration between Timbaland's label, Stage Zero, and the generative AI music platform Suno. She is the first artist signed to Stage Zero, a label focused on AI-driven music.

Timbaland describes TaTa as "alive, learning, and autonomous," aiming to create "systems, stories, and stars from scratch." This venture has generated diverse reactions within the music community, with some artists and producers expressing concerns about AI's influence on human artists.

TaTa's music videos are also AI-generated. Timbaland emphasizes that TaTa is a product of collaboration between human creators and Suno. He also confirmed his continued collaboration with human artists.

TaTa's debut signifies a notable advancement in "A-Pop," or artificial pop music. This trend follows the successes of virtual artists such as Hatsune Miku, who has gained millions of fans since 2007 and collaborated with Lady Gaga.
