Edited by: Olga Sukhina

Jennifer Lopez opened the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs) in Las Vegas on May 26 with a high-energy performance. The 55-year-old pop icon performed a medley of recent hits at the Fontainebleau, showcasing both her dance moves and vocal talent.

During her performance of Benson Boone's "Beautiful Things" and other popular songs, Lopez shared kisses with two of her dancers, sparking varied reactions on social media. Some viewers praised her showmanship, while others found the display controversial.

The AMAs featured an all-star lineup, including performances by Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Benson Boone, Gloria Estefan, Lainey Wilson, and Reneé Rapp. Janet Jackson received the Icon Award, and Rod Stewart was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Lopez previously hosted the AMAs in 2015 and returned this year to host and perform.
