"F1 The Movie" continues its successful theatrical run, achieving a global box office total exceeding $552 million. This milestone marks Brad Pitt's highest-grossing film to date. The film has also excelled in IMAX, earning $85 million worldwide and setting a new benchmark for Hollywood productions in the format.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for "Top Gun: Maverick," the film centers on veteran driver Sonny Hayes mentoring a newcomer. Filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends with advanced technology, it has been praised for its authenticity and thrilling racing sequences. The accompanying soundtrack, "F1 The Album," featuring artists like Tate McRae and Ed Sheeran, has also seen significant success, with over 600,000 album sales and nearing one billion streams globally.

"F1 The Movie" is now Apple's most commercially successful title, surpassing "Napoleon" and "Killers of the Flower Moon." It holds an A CinemaScore and a 97 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Due to high demand, the film is being re-released in select IMAX theaters starting August 8, 2025, with wider distribution planned for August 15. The film's success has also led to reports of Apple's interest in acquiring Formula 1's US broadcast rights, indicating a broader strategic engagement with the sport.
