Drake's New Single and Legal Battles

Edited by: Olga Sukhina

Drake released "What Did I Miss?" on July 4, 2025, as part of his "Iceman: Episode 1" livestream. The track is widely perceived as a direct response to the ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar, characterized by public disputes and legal actions.

The new single follows a series of legal actions initiated by Drake. He filed a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG) in January 2025, alleging they promoted Lamar's "Not Like Us" to damage his reputation.

In February 2025, Drake and PartyNextDoor's collaborative album, "$ome $exy $ongs 4U," reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The feud continues to dominate the music industry, with "What Did I Miss?" available on all major streaming platforms as of July 5, 2025.
