The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are set to broadcast live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 7th. This year marks a significant shift as the ceremony will air on CBS for the first time, in addition to MTV and Paramount+.

Global superstar Lady Gaga leads the nominations with 12 nods, followed by Bruno Mars with 11 and Kendrick Lamar with 10. Sabrina Carpenter and Rosé have each secured eight nominations, highlighting a diverse range of recognized talent.

Two influential figures will receive special honors: Busta Rhymes will be presented with the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award, celebrating his impact on hip-hop culture. Ricky Martin will be honored with the first-ever Latin Icon Award, recognizing his four-decade career that has propelled Latin music and culture globally.

The performance lineup promises a dynamic showcase, featuring artists such as Alex Warren, J Balvin with DJ Snake, Sabrina Carpenter, and Sombr. J Balvin's performance will include his latest single "Zun Zun" with Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez, as well as the live premiere of his collaboration "Noventa" with DJ Snake. Sabrina Carpenter, who made a notable VMA debut last year, returns to the stage after winning Song of the Year for "Espresso." This year, she is nominated for eight awards, including Video of the Year for "Manchild."
