John Morgan, known for writing hits for artists like Jason Aldean, has achieved his first No. 1 as a performer. His single "Friends Like That," featuring Jason Aldean, has topped the charts. This marks Aldean's 29th No. 1 hit. Morgan's journey includes writing for others and discovering his own style. He spent five years honing his songwriting skills. This allowed him to define his artistic identity. His debut album, "Carolina Blue," features 12 songs, all co-written by Morgan. The title track reflects his upbringing in Sylva, North Carolina. Music has been a part of his life since childhood. Morgan connected with Jason Aldean through a chance encounter with a songwriter. This led to Aldean signing him to Night Train Records. Aldean heard Morgan's demos and offered him a record deal. Morgan co-produced his album and played all acoustic instruments. He is excited to showcase his artistry beyond songwriting. He will be touring with Kane Brown, Old Dominion, and Riley Green.
