Gracie Abrams, a rising star in the music industry, will be honored with the Hal David Starlight Award at the 54th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Dinner on June 12th in New York City. This award recognizes gifted young songwriters who are making a significant impact with their original songs. Abrams' sophomore album, "The Secret of Us," reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured hits like "I Love You, I'm Sorry," which reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "That's So True," a top 10 hit from the deluxe edition. Previous recipients of the Hal David Starlight Award include Taylor Swift, Halsey and SZA. The Songwriters Hall of Fame will also induct George Clinton, Ashley Gorley, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, Mike Love, Tony Macaulay, and members of The Doobie Brothers this year.
