As of May 23, 2025, Tesla's Bitcoin holdings are valued at approximately $1.25 billion. This valuation is based on data from Arkham Intelligence, reflecting the recent surge in Bitcoin's price.

Tesla's initial investment in Bitcoin occurred on February 8, 2021, when the company invested $1.5 billion, acquiring 43,200 BTC. Subsequently, Tesla briefly accepted Bitcoin for vehicle purchases, starting March 24, 2021, but suspended this option on May 12, 2021, citing environmental concerns.

During Q1 2025, Tesla reported revenue of $19.34 billion, falling short of the expected $21.3 billion. Despite fluctuations, Tesla has maintained a significant position in Bitcoin, reflecting a continued interest in cryptocurrency as part of its investment strategy.

At the time of this report, Bitcoin was trading around $108,929, after reaching a record high of $111,970.17 on May 22, 2025.
