This initiative will allow nearly 50 million retail customers to trade cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum directly from their accounts. DekaBank, a subsidiary of Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, will develop and manage the platform.
The project is currently in the planning phase as of July 1, 2025, with the launch scheduled for the summer of 2026. This move follows the implementation of the EU's MiCA regulation.
