Solana Mobile to Launch Seeker Phone and SKR Token on August 4

Edited by: Yuliya Shumai

Solana Labs' mobile team announced Wednesday plans to launch its Seeker phone on August 4. The launch includes the introduction of the SKR token and TEEPIN architecture. This initiative aims to enhance the Solana Mobile ecosystem.

The Seeker phone, a new iteration of Solana's mobile, has been in development for months, with over 150,000 units produced. It was introduced in September 2024 following the failure of the first model, Saga, due to low sales. The SKR token will power the economy and incentives within the Solana Mobile ecosystem.

TEEPIN, the Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network, is a decentralized framework at the core of the network's architecture. It consists of three layers designed to allow secure interaction between users, devices, and developers. Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder and CEO of Solana Labs, stated that TEEPIN represents the next evolution in mobile, verifying trust through cryptography.
