Tokyo, June 9, 2025 - Ripple announced a plan to provide up to $200,000 in grants to Japanese startups building on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) [Source: CryptoSlate, June 9]. This initiative is part of Ripple's broader effort to promote blockchain innovation in Japan.

The funding is linked to a new partnership with Web3 Salon, supported by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). Ripple will provide financial backing, while Web3 Salon will offer guidance to help early-stage companies grow.

The grants target early-stage startups in Japan working on XRPL-based solutions, with a focus on DeFi, tokenized real-world assets (RWA), and digital payments. Recipients will also gain access to Ripple's global network.

Ripple and Web3 Salon will collaborate on four major community events through March 2026, including startup pitch competitions and investor networking sessions. This reflects Ripple's strategy to grow the XRPL developer community.

Recently, the Dubai Land Department started using the ledger for real estate tokenization. The network also saw the entrance of new stablecoin products.
