In a recent report released on June 6, 2025, OKX and Blockworks Research highlighted the rapid acceleration of institutional adoption of cryptocurrencies, signaling a significant shift in global industries. The report, discussed by OKX US CEO Roshan Robert in an interview with TheStreet Roundtable, reveals key trends and data points.

The report indicates that approximately 59% to 60% of asset managers plan to launch crypto funds by 2026. More than 40% of institutional investors are already participating in crypto mutual funds or ETPs. Two-thirds of finance leaders are actively building capabilities for tokenized products, demonstrating a move towards blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

Beyond finance, the report emphasizes blockchain's real-world adoption across various sectors. Sports and entertainment are utilizing blockchain for digital collectibles and fan tokens. Consumer and luxury brands are exploring blockchain for supply chain transparency and combating counterfeiting. OKX is tailoring its platform to meet the needs of both retail and institutional users, investing heavily in compliance and risk management.
