Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has entered into a strategic partnership with Tether, the issuer of the widely used stablecoin USDT, to promote cryptocurrency adoption in Brazil. The collaboration focuses on institutional partnerships, event sponsorships, and educational initiatives aimed at integrating digital assets into Brazil's economy.
A key component of the partnership is the co-sponsorship of Blockchain Rio, a prominent Latin American blockchain conference. During the event, new users registering on Bybit's platform will receive exclusive USDT bonuses, encouraging first-time users to engage with the digital asset ecosystem.
Additionally, Bybit and Tether are in discussions with Visit Rio to incorporate cryptocurrency into the city's tourism sector. The initiative aims to offer discounts and USDT bonuses to tourists using digital assets for services, tours, and purchases from local businesses, positioning Rio as a crypto-friendly destination.
As part of its long-term strategy, Bybit plans to launch a national educational program to enhance crypto literacy and promote responsible adoption. The program includes "Learn to Earn" campaigns that reward users for completing blockchain-focused courses, complemented by workshops, university meetups, and seminars targeting students, developers, and entrepreneurs.
Earlier this year, Bybit appointed Israel Buzaym as its Country Manager for Brazil. Since then, the company has expanded its local presence and introduced tailored offerings such as Bybit Pay and the Bybit Card, bridging the gap between traditional finance and digital assets.
With a market capitalization exceeding $114 billion, Tether plays a central role in the global digital economy. This partnership with Bybit reflects a shared commitment to financial innovation, education, and the creation of practical use cases for cryptocurrency in emerging markets.
