Edited by: Elena Weismann

On July 1, 2025, Bitget Wallet launched a payment card in partnership with Mastercard and Immersve. This card allows users to spend cryptocurrency with over 150 million merchants worldwide. Initially available in the UK and the European Union, the card aims to expand to other regions.

The Bitget Wallet Card facilitates real-time funding through on-chain swaps and deposits. Purchases are settled on-chain via crypto-to-fiat conversions. The card launch addresses the growing demand for crypto payments, with approximately 40% of surveyed Bitget Wallet users globally using crypto for payments.

The card leverages Mastercard's Digital First tools and Immersve's backend infrastructure. While the U.S. launch is pending regulatory approvals, the card is already available in the UK and the European Union. The average transaction for crypto cards is €23.70 ($27.85), according to a recent report.
