AI Agent Sector Sees Massive Growth: Funding and On-Chain Activity Surge

The AI agent sector experienced significant growth, fueled by increased funding and on-chain activity. According to DappRadar, AI-related on-chain activity jumped by 86% in 2025, with 4.5 million daily active wallets engaging with AI decentralized applications (DApps).

The market share of AI DApps rose from 9% at the start of the year to 19%, closely following blockchain gaming at 20%. As of the reporting period, AI agent projects had raised $1.39 billion, a 9.4% increase compared to 2024, as reported by DappRadar.

Firsthand secured $26 million in Series A funding in March 2025, and Nia, an AI developer assistant, announced $850,000 in pre-seed funding in May 2025. Europe accounted for 26% of AI DApp interactions, Asia for just under 22%, and North America for 15.8% (DappRadar).

Assisterr, an AI platform, surpassed 1 million active users and developed over 3,500 AI models by February 2025. The Agentic AI Innovation Challenge 2025, announced in February 2025, offered a $10,000 prize pool.
