San Francisco-based Halliday, a web3 workflow protocol developer, announced it has raised $20 million in Series A funding led by a16z crypto. The funding round, which included participation from Avalanche Blizzard Fund, Credibly Neutral, and Alt Layer, brings Halliday's total funding to $26 million. Founded in April 2022, Halliday aims to simplify smart contract creation by enabling developers to delegate workflows to autonomous systems. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its team of 17 engineers and further develop its workflow protocol and Halliday Payments application, with the goal of enabling developers to build applications in hours rather than years.
