OKX Ventures Invests in USUAL

On December 24, 2024, OKX Ventures announced its investment in USUAL, a decentralized stablecoin issuer, aiming to bridge traditional finance with decentralized finance (DeFi). This strategic investment highlights the growing trend of integrating Real-World Assets (RWAs) into stablecoin frameworks.

USUAL's flagship product, USD0, is fully backed by tokenized RWAs like U.S. Treasury Bills, managed in a decentralized manner. The native token, $USUAL, allows users to participate in governance and share in the protocol's financial success.

Unlike traditional stablecoins such as Tether (USDT) and Circle (USDC), USUAL redistributes value to its users, fostering a community-driven decision-making model. Collaborations with firms like Hashnote and BlackRock enhance the stability of USD0, while partnerships with DeFi platforms such as Curve and Pendle provide optimized yield strategies.
