White House Launches AI Education Initiative with Industry Support with the support of leading technology companies

Edited by: Olga Sukhina

On June 30, 2025, the White House announced the "Pledge to America's Youth: Investing in AI Education." Over 60 organizations, including Microsoft, OpenAI, and Google, have committed to providing AI curriculum and tools to K-12 schools.

This initiative follows President Trump's April 2025 executive order to integrate AI literacy into the K-12 education system. The administration aims to deliver a comprehensive AI action plan by mid-July.

Education leaders emphasize the need for professional development, equity, and human-centered approaches in AI integration. The focus should be on how AI is used, not just the technology itself. The initiative aims to prepare students for an AI-enabled economy.
