Rivian Expands Charging Network Despite New US EV Tax Credit Changes

Edited by: Olga Sukhina

Rivian, the electric vehicle manufacturer, has significantly expanded its Rivian Adventure Network (RAN) in the US. By Q1 2025, the network included over 700 charging points across 112 locations in 35 states.

Over 40% of these stations are equipped with new chargers accessible to all EV brands. Rivian opened its first next-generation charging station in Joshua Tree, California, in December 2024.

This expansion occurs amidst changes to US EV tax credits, with the "Big Beautiful Bill" impacting incentives. Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe expressed concerns about the law's effects, emphasizing the need to advance electrification.
