NVIDIA's China Strategy: Launching New Blackwell AI Chip Amid 2025 Revenue Expectations

Edited by: Olga Sukhina

Nvidia is launching a new, lower-priced AI chipset for China, with mass production planned for June 2025. This responds to U.S. export restrictions affecting sales of its high-end H20 model in China.

The new AI chip, based on Nvidia's Blackwell architecture, is expected to be priced between $6,500 and $8,000, significantly lower than the H20's $10,000 to $12,000. The reduced price reflects weaker specifications and simpler manufacturing.

First-quarter revenue for fiscal year 2026 is expected to be around $43.0 billion. Nvidia is also expanding into new regions, including the Middle East, and will sell AI chips to Saudi Arabia, with CEO Jensen Huang announcing that the company will supply over 18,000 Blackwell AI chips to Humain.
