Meta's Upcoming Smartwatch: Integrating AI and Camera Features

20:40, 29 July

Edited by: Olga Sukhina

Meta is reportedly reviving its smartwatch project, aiming to introduce a device equipped with integrated cameras and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. This initiative is part of Meta's broader strategy to expand its wearable technology offerings, complementing existing products like Ray-Ban smart glasses and Quest VR headsets.

The smartwatch is expected to feature a built-in camera, enabling users to capture photos and videos directly from their wrist. Additionally, the integration of AI is anticipated to provide functionalities such as real-time object recognition and contextual information, enhancing user interaction with the device.

While the exact release date remains unconfirmed, the device is speculated to be unveiled at the Meta Connect conference, scheduled for September 17–18, 2025. This event serves as a platform for Meta to showcase its latest technological advancements and product developments.

As Meta continues to innovate in the wearable tech space, the introduction of this smartwatch signifies the company's commitment to integrating AI and camera technologies into consumer devices, offering users a more immersive and interactive experience.
