China to Supply Rare Earth Minerals to the US Under New Agreement

14:32, 13 June

Edited by: Olga Sukhina

China will supply the United States with rare earth minerals, essential for advanced technologies, under a new agreement.

The deal was announced following talks in London, with former US President Donald Trump stating that China would provide the necessary minerals. This includes components for electric vehicles, AI processors, and other advanced technologies.

China's Ministry of Commerce stated it would continue to strengthen the export control process. The global rare earths market was valued at $12.44 billion in 2024.
