Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, is developing a standalone app for its AI assistant, Meta AI. The app is slated for a potential launch between April and June 2025. This move is a strategic effort to compete with AI chatbots like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini. Meta AI was integrated into existing platforms in April 2024. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has committed up to $65 billion this year to expand AI capabilities.
