Elon Musk Gives Federal Workers Second Chance to Submit Work Reports; Termination Looms for Non-Compliance

Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is giving US federal workers a second chance to respond to his request for a five-bullet point summary of their work from last week. The initial deadline passed on Monday. Departments including Justice, FBI, State, Defense, Energy, Homeland Security, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence advised employees not to respond. Musk expressed frustration on X, stating failure to comply a second time will result in termination, subject to the President's discretion. The request, sent via the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), asked employees to detail their accomplishments. Musk aims to cut wasteful spending and improve government efficiency.
