In the parallel market, the Real Blue is priced at $187.75 for buying and $207.75 for selling. This represents a 9% gap between the official and blue rates. Currently, one US dollar is equivalent to R$6.10 in the informal market. This means $100 can buy R$609.85. The Real has been Brazil's legal tender since 1994 and is the 20th most traded currency globally. Meanwhile, the official dollar is trading at $1120 for buying and $1170 for selling in banks.
