Ukraine's National Bank Adjusts Currency Rates Amid Market Fluctuations

On December 3, 2024, Ukraine's National Bank announced an increase in the official exchange rate of the US dollar, which rose by 6 kopecks to 41.64 UAH. The euro decreased by 18 kopecks, now valued at 43.72 UAH, while the Polish zloty fell by 3 kopecks to 10.18 UAH.

In the banking sector, the exchange rates at various institutions were reported as follows: PrivatBank offered rates between 41.25 and 41.85 UAH, PUMB between 41.50 and 41.99 UAH, UkrSibbank from 41.35 to 41.95 UAH, and Ukreximbank between 41.15 and 41.75 UAH.

The National Bank's adjustments play a crucial role in determining the VAT for import and export operations, underscoring the importance of accurate calculations for businesses and accountants. Additionally, currency conversion may incur extra fees from banks or exchange points, making the use of specialized calculators advisable to prevent financial miscalculations.
