Dubai Number Plate Auction Generates Over AED 98 Million

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) successfully hosted its 119th open auction for exclusive vehicle number plates on September 27, 2025, generating a substantial AED 97.95 million. The event, which attracted significant interest from collectors and automotive enthusiasts, featured 90 unique plates and underscored the strength of Dubai's luxury market.

The most coveted plate, 'BB 88', emerged as the top earner, fetching an impressive AED 14 million. Other high-value plates that garnered substantial bids included 'Y 31' for AED 6.27 million and 'M 78' for AED 6 million. The plate 'BB 777' also commanded a strong price of AED 6 million, highlighting the significant value placed on distinctive vehicle identifiers within the emirate.

These auctions serve as a testament to Dubai's status as a global hub for luxury and exclusivity.
