The historic center of Santos, Brazil, is preparing to host the 10th Santos Coffee Festival from July 11th to 13th, 2025. This event celebrates coffee heritage and enriches the region's cultural and tourism calendar.
The festival will feature free shows, sensory experiences, gastronomy workshops, and children's activities. For the first time, it will host two national coffee competitions, including the Brazilian Aeropress Championship.
The festival, organized by the Santos City Hall, attracts thousands of visitors each year. In 2024, the event drew around 90,000 people. The festival is a celebration of the city's history and identity, which grew with coffee.
The event will take place in strategic locations such as the Coffee Museum, Casa da Frontaria Azulejada, squares, and streets of Valongo. A major highlight is the debut of the Brazilian Aeropress Championship, which will select the best national recipe using this brewing method.
The competition will take place on July 12th and 13th at Casa da Frontaria Azulejada, bringing together 45 competitors from 10 Brazilian states. Another competition is the Open de Cata Brasil, an international coffee tasting competition, with the world final scheduled for 2026 in Spain.
The City Hall will provide free transportation from two points on the coast to the Historic Center during the three days of the festival. The program also includes free tastings with 40 brands from different regions and live music performances.
The festival will also have a "Coffee with Milk" space for children, with storytelling, magic shows, puppets, and inflatable toys. There will also be art and gastronomy workshops exploring techniques such as watercolor and coffee painting.
The Coffee Museum will offer preparation workshops, sensory workshops, lectures, a night visit to the Clock Tower, and special tastings. The gastronomy program will feature chefs presenting creative dishes that include coffee in the ingredients.
