The number of Russians opting for safari tours in African countries is steadily increasing. This was reported by the Vice President of the Alliance of Travel Agencies of Russia (ATA), Aleksan Mkrtchyan. According to his estimates, these trips attract approximately 1,500 to 2,000 people daily.
Although safari tours do not match the mass tourism seen in destinations like Turkey, they are highly valued within the African travel sector. These tours offer unique experiences beyond traditional beach resorts.
Mkrtchyan highlighted that this type of vacation is not extreme. Travelers move along routes in protected transport, eliminating the threat from predators. Safari tours are gaining popularity among those seeking new experiences beyond traditional vacation spots.
