Peru has eliminated the temporary visa requirement for Qatari citizens, effective July 3, 2025. This decision is designed to stimulate tourism and strengthen diplomatic relations with Qatar.
The new regulation, detailed in Decree Supreme No. 023-2025-RE, permits Qatari citizens to enter Peru with a valid passport for a maximum of 183 days within a one-year period. This policy builds upon a 2021 agreement that allowed visa-free travel for up to 90 days.
This initiative is part of a larger effort to increase cultural and economic exchanges between Peru and the Middle East, with the goal of promoting tourism and fostering collaboration across various sectors.
