The Nassau Cruise Port (NCP) has experienced significant growth, setting new records in passenger arrivals and revenue. In 2024, the port welcomed approximately 5.6 million cruise visitors, surpassing the previous year's record of 4.4 million. This 27% increase underscores NCP's expanding role in the Bahamian tourism sector.
In March 2025, NCP set a new daily passenger record by accommodating over 30,000 visitors in a single day. This achievement highlights the port's capacity to handle large volumes of cruise passengers while maintaining quality service.
Looking ahead, NCP projects welcoming 6.5 million passengers in 2025, marking a 15% increase from 2024. Revenue is also expected to rise, with projections estimating an increase from $49 million in 2024 to $78 million in 2025. These projections reflect the port's ongoing growth and its positive impact on the Bahamian economy.
These milestones are the result of a comprehensive $300 million redevelopment project completed in May 2023. The revitalized port now features enhanced facilities, including a new arrivals plaza, a Junkanoo museum, and expanded retail and dining options, all designed to enrich the visitor experience and showcase Bahamian culture.
As NCP continues to expand its capacity and offerings, it remains a pivotal contributor to the growth and development of the Bahamian tourism industry, providing visitors with memorable experiences and supporting the local economy.
