Camping in Serbia: A Nature Escape

Edited by: Елена 11

Camping might seem like a budget-friendly option to some, but the truth is that people who choose to camp usually do so to be as close to nature as possible. There's no denying that being in nature can have a positive effect on one's state of mind. When you add staying in tents or camping trailers to all of this, there's no doubt that it's a completely authentic experience.

There are more and more campsites around the world that offer significant comforts to tourists. It's not the same camping as it used to be, especially since so-called glamping campsites are increasingly appearing, which are characterized as a perfect combination of camping, on the one hand, and luxury, on the other. Simply put, someone who decides on such a camping option will be able to enjoy the natural environment while simultaneously having all the comforts of the modern world.

Whether it's by a lake, river, or on a mountain, wherever the campsite is located, visitors can enjoy the natural environment. It is only important to choose an interesting location and, of course, prepare well for a stay in nature in that way.

The youngest campsite in Serbia, near the Zasavica Special Nature Reserve, is considered one of the best equipped in the country. Located about 80 kilometers from the capital, this campsite offers visitors a total of 42 camping spots with all the accompanying facilities needed for a comfortable stay.

The campsite on one of the most famous Serbian mountains covers an area of about 1.5 hectares. According to the categorization, it has three stars and offers visitors a total of 60 camping spots. Within this camp, there are also all accompanying facilities, such as a sanitary block and a kitchen, as well as a summer house and a space intended for waste disposal.

On Đurđevo Hill, from where there is a phenomenal view of Jagodina, there is a campsite, symbolically named "Ruža vetrova", which is open from mid-April to the end of October. Not only do visitors to this camp have a fantastic view of the city and the surroundings, but also many comforts. Although its capacity is smaller, since it has only 15 plots intended for the accommodation of campers who have their own equipment, the camp also has an adequate water supply network, as well as a courtyard intended for emptying wastewater, then outdoor taps and shower cabins.
