The Palm Dog Awards celebrated its 25th anniversary on May 23, 2025, at the Cannes Film Festival, honoring the best canine performances in cinema. The event took place at the Plage du Festival tent along the Croisette.
Panda, an Icelandic Sheepdog from Hlynur Pálmason's "The Love That Remains," won the Palm Dog award for her role as a faithful companion. Panda accepted the award via video message, as she could not attend the ceremony in person.
The Grand Jury Prize was awarded to Pipa (Jack Russell) and Lupita (Podenco mix) from "Sirat". Hippo (dachshund) and a rottweiler from "Pillion" received a special "Mutt Moment" prize. The Palm Dog Awards continue to celebrate canine actors in cinema.
