An unexpected twist of fate: the pet dog Frank became a tough cop

Edited by: Екатерина С.

A Cocker Spaniel named Frank, adopted from a rescue center, has become a police search dog. Frank was adopted by Wiltshire Police from Dogs Trust Canterbury in March.

Before his new role, Frank loved cuddles and playing ball. He was handed over to the charity due to family health issues. Since then, he has trained to find drugs, cash, and firearms.

Frank has already helped in a drug arrest in Swindon. He found a large amount of cash hidden under pillows. His handler, Police Constable Craig Head, says Frank is a joy to work with and loves his job.

Wiltshire Police announced that Frank is the second dog from Dogs Trust to join their team. The Animal Welfare Visitors Scheme ensures high animal welfare standards for police dogs. The Dogs Trust works with police forces to find dogs with potential.

Louise Crawford from Dogs Trust is thrilled with Frank's success. She emphasizes that rescue dogs can achieve great things. The Dogs Trust continues to support their dogs throughout their lives.
