Furry Friends Steal the Show at New Year's Day Parade

As many people lined up along Colorado Boulevard in the early dawn of New Year's Day, furry friends were in attendance along with their owners.

Some dogs were adorned in collars made of roses, while others snuggled in bright sweaters as they waited for the parade to begin.

One parade attendee proudly mentioned her dog, April, calling her an unofficial 'official' Rose Parade dog who loves the attention.

Excitement and wagging tails filled the air as furry attendees took one last sniff while floats headed toward the parade route.

As the floats lined up, dogs of every breed, age, and size could be seen lining up for some of the best seats along the route with their owners.

Pooches were also featured in the parade, covered in petals, seeds, and bark.

Dogs were showcased on floats from various organizations, including the City of Alhambra and Cal Poly Universities.

The Pasadena Humane/Hill's Pet Nutrition float celebrated both dogs and cats, as did the Rotary entry. This joyful gathering of pets truly highlighted the love and joy they bring into our lives.
