A group of international scholars convened at the HUN-REN NYTK on May 23 for the "Hunaland Meeting," a one-day event dedicated to discussing "Issues in the Study of Icelandic." The meeting was initiated by Dr. habil Hans-Martin Gärtner.

Discussions encompassed a range of topics, including prosodic structure, verbal mood, and argument structure. These topics were approached using methods from laboratory phonology, experimental psycholinguistics, and stochastic modeling.

Invited speakers included Prof. Nicole Dehé from Konstanz University and Prof. Thórhallur Eythórsson from the University of Iceland. The Van Riemsdijk Foundation provided generous support for the meeting.
