Celebrations took place at UNESCO World Heritage Sites and across the state, emphasizing the practice's global significance.
Yoga sessions were held at the 13th-century Keshava Temple in Mysuru and the Hoysaleshwara Temple complex in Halebid. In Srirangapatna, the gardens of Dariya Daulat Bagh hosted the event, led by officials and attended by students. The events saw participation from various educational institutions and government bodies across Karnataka, including Mandya, Chamarajanagar, and Kodagu districts.
Globally, over 100 countries participated in the 2025 International Day of Yoga, with synchronized performances at 10,000 locations. The United Nations recognizes the International Day of Yoga, which was proposed by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014. The initiative promotes global health, harmony, and peace, with 177 nations co-sponsoring the resolution.
